Time has this annoying quality where you never really realize how much it has passed until you’re reminded of how much you’ve missed. I slaved away on this blog prior to launching it and yet I have somehow set it aside for the past 7 months. I’ve beat myself too much over this, wondering what got into me… Because I suddenly left this project hanging. But I have reached a peaceful conclusion with myself… And that is that I should swallow down my excuses and that the best way to apologize for my laziness is to make up for it by being active again.
I would like to explain, but I’m too lazy to, so I won’t. There’s no point anyway… What’s done is done. What I can do though is to share what I have been up to for the past 7 months that I have gone AWOL. Of that, I most certainly can say that I have been proudly living quite a Neverlander life…
*** some posts are still “under construction”.. Check back here once in a while.. I’ll update them once the respective posts are done! :)
Moving to Istanbul has been in my plans since 2013. My priority at the time was to cross out my bucketlist items in the Philippines, so that I can move to another place in peace without any regrets. Finally, after 2 years of sneaky & meticulous planning, I have made the big move to Istanbul, Turkey.
You might be thinking, “But isn’t there so many bad things happening there now? So many bombings? Riots? Terrorists? ISIS? *insert whatever horrible thought filled with danger and death here*”. I’m not saying I wasn’t terrified. Of course I was, of course I still am— But I guess I’d like to think that with a crapload of wishful thinking, I’ll make it out in one piece. Haha.
I have secured a job as a Native English Teacher in Istanbul. To be honest, I’m not intensely passionate about being an English teacher… But if it gets me to live in a city that’s literally part of two continents (Europe & Asia), what can be more exciting than that? If you’d like to read more about how I got the job, click HERE.
I am happy to say that after quite a long break from traveling, I have been Dora the Explorer-ish again! I traded traveling in exchange for chasing dreams in the Philippines for the past 1 and a half years, before leaving for Istanbul. But once I passed all my hurdles, I kind of made up for it a bit… Just click on the links below to read more about my most recent travel adventures.

As a Neverlander, I have an insatiable need to constantly chase dreams… I constantly feel the need to do things that make me feel happy, fulfilled, passionate and full of life. In line with this, I have just recently added a new page to the site: My Bucketlist.
On this page, I will list down the things I want to tick off before hitting the bucket. It’s divided into two. The things I’ve already accomplished and the things that I’ve yet to do. If I have been a productive fairy, I will link the finished items to the blog post it’s related to. If anyone out there can help me experience the things that I haven’t, then it is completely a done deal that I will love you forever. Haha.
In line with this, I will also be putting up a new series about Catching Your Dreams… Containing all things that has to do with helping you get more items off your bucketlist. Dream big and live them! Yes, it’s possible! Do keep a look out! Subscribe for instant updates! :)
Here are just some of the things I’ve crossed off My Bucketlist recently…

Meeting people always excites me because I always love hearing about people’s stories. The past 7 months have been so incredibly jampacked with continuously meeting such wonderful people! Quickly summarized, I’ve crossed paths with the students and staff of FRVMFI, Some very passionate and successful bloggers who inspired me and helped me create The Neverlander, having my very own Serbian family, having my very own Turkish family, having my very own Yabangee (that’s Turkish for “foreigner”) gang in Istanbul, the list just goes on and on and on…
I would feature everyone if I could, but because I’m not THAT hardworking, here are some of the awesome Neverlanders that I’ve met recently…

These past few months have been nothing short of CRAZY. It has been a flurry of interesting experiences that I can’t wait to write about more. So… if you would be so kind as to pardon my slothiness for the past few months… I promise to pester more. That excites me more than you anyway. :P
How about you guys? What fantastic experiences and new stories have you accumulated for the past few months? I’d love to hear about them! :)
